Episode Three: Full of that same comedy we all love

Unfortunately, due to lack of time this post will be rather short and less descriptive than the previous posts. In short, an earthquake strikes, fortunately with little little damage, though.  This episodes highlights comedy in disaster.    Claire is trapped in bathroom with a plumber, while her daughter and her scream at one another about Claire being a "control freak".  Gloria is annoyed with Jay because he constantly makes excuses for skipping church.  Right as she is lecturing him an earthquake strikes-a sign from God if you will.  Thus, Manny and Jay decide to play golf, which infuriates Gloria even more so.  Jay makes several statements- there is no Hell and the sinners are in heaven- during their golf outing that deter Manny from his religious beliefs, causing Manny much anxiety.  Mitchell and Cameron have negligible damage from the earthquake; however, their unwanted friend and Cameron's ex-boyfriend, Pepper, (Nathan Lane, "The Birdcage") arrives, despite the insistence that he does not.  Claire and the plumber finally get out of the closet without any help of Phil who was busy nailing a cabinet he was supposed to do to prevent it from falling in the advent of an earthquake at Claire's request.

Favorite Line of Episode: "There's nothing mystical about an earthquake.  Pressure builds and it is released.  You just hoped that there's not too much damage.  But it makes you realize what matters, and for me, that is my family...my family and golf."-Jay at the end of the episode

Tune in next week!
